Wed,4 Apr 2012 11:27 PM PDT
Reuters - LONDON (Reuters) - Inspired by the 2012 Olympics, London transport chiefs created a special version of their underground railway map by replacing stations with the names of sporting greats but they left out one of the most famous of all. While present-day athletes like Usain Bolt were well represented among the 361 names, Fanny Blankers-Koen was missing. Known as the 'Flying Housewife' because she had two children, the Dutch runner became the first female to win four golds in a single Olympics at the 1948 London Games. ... Full Story

Chelsea flirt with danger before beating Benfica
Wed,4 Apr 2012 11:08 PM PDT
Reuters - LONDON (Reuters) - If Chelsea flirt with danger against Barcelona like they did at home to Benfica on Wednesday, their poor conversion rate of one Champions League final from five previous last-four appearances is likely to continue. Chelsea, who looked second best for long periods, went through to their sixth semi in the last nine seasons after winning 2-1 in the second leg and 3-1 on aggregate but they were close to losing the tie on away goals in the closing stages. ...
