Sandy Bridge flaw halts sales of affected Dell, MSI and Gigabyte products

Digital Trends - Intel introduced a new processor architecture at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show dubbed Sandy Bridge, the second generation of the company’s Core-i series CPUs. The new chips sport an integrated graphics processor that is powerful enough to compete with mid-range video cards, eliminating the need for consumers to also invest in a pricey display adapter for their new computers. Unfortunately for Intel, a design flaw has led to a halt in shipments and a recall of affected products, a situation which the company reports will cost around $1 billion to correct, according to a press release. HTC Inspire 4G: First Impressions

PC World - AT&T proved that it is finally getting serious about Android when it announced three hot "4G" (technically HSPA+) phones at CES. One of these, phones, the HTC Inspire 4G, arrived in the PCWorld offices today. AT&T also announced that the Inspire will have the sweet pricetag of $100 (with a two-year contract) and will be available in retail stores February 13. Full Story

Macworld - 3D video was the talk at this month’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, but at Macworld 2011, app maker Holographic Audio Theater was looking to promote the idea of 3D audio. The company thinks that “three-dimensional audio” provides the most immersive experience, and it was in San Francisco this week to promote an app—Naturespace—that it thinks will drive that point home. AP - An epic Twitter FAIL for fashion designer Kenneth Cole on Thursday led him to apologize for a tweet that used the crisis in Cairo to promote his spring line. The offensive tweet touched off an online flash mob and inspired a fake Twitter feed that mocked Cole's original while attracting thousands of followers on the micro-blogging site in a matter of hours. Zynga hacker caught, but not before landing $12M in virtual poker chips

Digital Trends - According to BBC News, a London IT businessman could face prison time after stealing $12 million Zynga currency.  Ashley Mitchell hacked into the company’s servers and was able to pocket the 400 billion virtual poker chips, which he then sold on Zynga’s black market – which is where he got caught.
