Reuters - SAO PAULO (Reuters) - Mark Webber led a Red Bull one-two in the Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday to celebrate his first victory of the year in the last race of the Formula One season. The Australian, second on the starting grid, passed world champion Sebastian Vettel for the lead after 30 of the 71 laps when his team mate was apparently wrestling with a gearbox problem. German Vettel, who wrapped up his second title last month with four races to spare, finished second -- 16.9 seconds behind -- and ahead of McLaren's Jenson Button. ... Full Story

Liverpool hold City as football mourns Speed

Reuters - LONDON (Reuters) - Liverpool put the brakes on Manchester City's title challenge by holding the Premier League leaders to a 1-1 draw on Sunday when the death of Wales manager Gary Speed overshadowed everything that happened on the field. Speed, 42, was found hanged at his home after apparently committing suicide. Earlier, Welsh side Swansea City drew 0-0 with Aston Villa with fans bursting into spontaneous applause during a minute's silence in his honour. ... Full Story

Hamilton gives Massa a hug to end feud

Reuters - SAO PAULO (Reuters) - Lewis Hamilton ended a long-running Formula One feud with Felipe Massa on Sunday by walking up to the Ferrari driver after the Brazilian Grand Prix and giving him a hug. "It's been a long hard year for all the drivers, and I hope they all have a good winter," McLaren's 2008 world champion, who retired from the race at Interlagos with a gearbox failure, told reporters. Centurion Ibrahimovic inspires Milan rout

Reuters - (Reuters) - Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored twice, including his 100th Serie A goal, in AC Milan's embarrassingly one-sided 4-0 win over Chievo on Sunday. The home team scored all their goals in the first half and then strolled through the second to go level on 24 points with Udinese, one behind leaders Juventus. Nineteen-year-old Luc Castaignos claimed an 89th-minute winner to give lacklustre Inter Milan a lucky 1-0 triumph at Siena, his first league goal since his move from Feyenoord in the close season. ... Federer tames Tsonga to end year on high

Reuters - LONDON (Reuters) - Roger Federer became the first player to win the ATP World Tour Finals six times but had to weather a storming fightback by Jo-Wilfried Tsonga before retaining his title with a 6-3 6-7 6-3 victory at the O2 on Sunday. The 30-year-old, playing in the title match of the tournament for the seventh time in 10 years and contesting his 100th Tour final, squandered a match point in the second set but eventually extinguished Tsonga's fire to claim the 70th title of a career that burns as bright as ever. ... Red Bull laugh off gearbox suspicions

Reuters - SAO PAULO (Reuters) - Formula One champions Red Bull scoffed at suggestions they manipulated Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix to hand Mark Webber a first victory of the season. Team boss Christian Horner told reporters he was astonished that double world champion Sebastian Vettel finished the season-ending race, let alone in second place, after Red Bull advised him of a gearbox problem. The fact Vettel set a number of fastest laps after allowing Webber to go past 30 laps into the 71-lap race aroused suspicions in the media room but Horner said there had been no deception. ... Reuters - KEMPTON PARK, South Africa (Reuters) - Home-town favourite Hennie Otto survived a nerve-wracking finale to win the South African Open by one stroke at the Serengeti Golf Estate on Sunday. Otto frittered away a three-shot overnight lead with three bogeys between the 13th and 16th holes as Austria's Bernd Wiesberger mounted a charge.
