Reuters - MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexican authorities arrested five policemen on Monday on suspicion of torture after a video was made public showing police officers submerging a detainee's head in a bucket of water. An official at the attorney general's office said five Mexico City police officers were taken into custody over the alleged torture, which took place in the capital's tough inner city neighborhood of Tepito last month. ... The Atlantic Wire - A man set off a brawl in a Sandusky, Ohio, bar last week after the other patrons booed him off the stage for being a terrible singer. Twenty-year-old Isiah Johnson stormed off the stage after other bar-goers heckled his singing peformance. Bouncer removed him from the bar, but he came back later and refused to leave. When patrons and bartenders tried to throw him out again, he punched three people in the face and cops were called. Morvillo was regarded as one of New York's savviest criminal-defense attorneys, a master of establishing a kind of just us-folks rapport with jurors. Reuters - (Reuters) - A fugitive former teacher on a U.S. federal police "most wanted" list has been jailed for 10 years after being nabbed and convicted on child pornography offenses, authorities said on Wednesday. Yusef Alhakk, 67, of Buffalo, N.Y., was arrested in December last year, five years after fleeing the United States following an arrest on child porn charges, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency said in a news release. Alhakk, also known as Joseph Daniels, was teaching at Bennett High School in Buffalo when he was arrested in 2005 on child pornography charges. ... Full Story
