Lopez's "The Fosters" - a working title - is an hour-long drama about a multi-ethnic family of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms. Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige will serve as writers and executive producers. Simon Fields and Greg Gugliotta will also executive produce the series, which is produced by Nuyorican Productions, Inc., and Prodco, Inc. Ben Coccio, whose credits include Derek Cianfrance's "The Place Beyond the Pines," has been hired to adapt the screenplay.
