New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie today announced his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination at his former high school in Livingston, New Jersey.
"Both parties have failed our country," he said in announcing his bid. "I am now ready to fight for the people of the United States of America."
Christie joins 13 other Republican hopefuls: Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Carly Fiorina, Lindsey Graham, Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal, George Pataki, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, Marco Rubio, Rick Santorum and Donald Trump.
