Filed under: Lindsay Lohan, Dina Lohan, Celebrity Justice With her big court date just days away, Lindsay Lohan has requested the one person who can put her mind ease to be at her side ... her mother, Dina. What, you were expecting a different parent? Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ ... Dina will be making the trip from NY to LA to be with Lindsay as she gets ready to face Judge Sauntner. We're told Lindsay asked Dina to make the trip, and even booked the flight herself ... something we're told Lindsay only does when she is particularly worried about what might happen. Lindsay had her probation revoked back on October 19. She could get sentenced on Wednesday to a year-and-a-half in jail, though Sauntner herself admitted that sentence is unlikely. Permalink

Filed under: Michael Lohan, Kate Major, Celebrity Justice Kate Major called the cops on Michael Lohan early this morning ... TMZ has learned ... but police believe he is blame free this time. Tampa PD tell TMZ they received a call from Major at 12:39 AM to report she returned home to find she had a missed call from a number she knew to be Michael's. But according to police, MiLo was under "supervised custody" at the time of the call ... so it wasn't Michael who placed it. Cops told us, "It would appear that someone other than her ex-[boyfriend] had access to the cell phone." Cops did respond and went to Major's home (see video below) but do not plan on investigating the incident any further. Looks like Michael dodged a bullet ... this time. Permalink

Filed under: Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries, Celebrity Justice Kim Kardashian's husband claims he was bilked out of hundreds of thousands of dollars by a guy he invited to his wedding ... a guy who's been arrested for allegedly running a $1.7 million investment scam. Andrey C. Hicks was a guest at Kim and Kris Humphries televised wedding bonanza in August ... and sat right behind the happy couple during the rehearsal dinner. But TMZ has learned ... after the wedding, Kris learned Andrey was a target in a federal investigation in which he's suspected of raising money for a purported billion dollar hedge fund ... that didn't really exist. Officials believe Andrey lied to several investors -- including Kris -- telling them, among other things, that he was a Harvard graduate ... when in fact, he was kicked out of the University after 3 semesters for crappy grades. Officials say Andrey only took 1 math class at Harvard ... and got a D-. Officials claim 27-year-old Hicks stole $1.7 million from various investors ... and sources close to Kris tell us the NBA star accounted for hundreds of thousands of dollars himself. Hicks was arrested in Canada on Friday and charged with wire fraud. Officials believe he was trying to flee to Switzerland. If convicted, Hicks could face up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Permalink

Filed under: Michael Lohan, Celebrity Justice Michael Lohan was true to form when he appeared in court today, making crazy excuses that an angry judge didn't buy ... so Michael's gonna stay in jail for a while. Michael -- who allegedly violated a restraining order and then tried to escape cops and falling four stories -- spoke to the judge from the jail on a monitor. Michael, who was in a wheelchair and handcuffs (see above), had his lawyer explain there are three reasons why Mr. Lohan needed his freedom: 1.  He's got some TV shoot with Dr. Drew 2.  Lindsay's hearing is coming up on Wednesday 3.  He's got an upcoming celebrity boxing match with Tareq Salahi. Surprise -- the judge wasn't moved, but was VERY upset at M.L. Kate Major testified against Michael (see the video), crying as she told the judge about Michael's incessant calling. Overly Aggressive Paparazzo Files Battery Report Against Demi Moore	Top
A photographer who claims to have had a run-in with Demi Moore yesterday has filed a battery report about the incident ... TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the photographer (who was not TMZ) claims Moore struck him as he tried to shoot her yesterday. We're told it's unclear where Moore allegedly struck the photog, but he displayed no visible injuries. Judging from the photos of the incident ... it appears the pap was way too close and in her face. According to our sources, the West Hollywood Sheriff's Department will be given the complaint and investigate. Calls to Moore's rep were not returned. Permalink
'Real World' Producers Respond to Tonya Cooley's Lawsuit, Call It 'Completely Baseless'	Top
Filed under: Tonya Cooley, Celebrity Justice, Real World The "Real World" is firing back at Tonya Cooley's lawsuit ... claiming she was raped by a tooth brush during filming ... calling her accusations "completely baseless." TMZ broke the story ... Tonya filed the suit against MTV, Bunim/Murray Productions, Kenneth Santucci, Evan Starkman and others ... claiming two guys used a tooth brush rather inappropriately on her while she was passed out and cameras rolled during filming of "The Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Ruins." Cooley claimed producers knew all about the incident and never told her. A rep for Bunim/Murray, the production company behind the show, tells TMZ they actually "a thorough investigation" into the allegations -- but "found Tonya Cooley's claims to be completely baseless." Cooley is suing for unspecified damages. Permalink

Arabs don't condone the brutalization of women and they want Omar Sharif to apologize for slapping a woman in a fit of anger. 79-year-old Sharif wasn't arrested ... or even punished ... when he struck a female fan at a film festival in Qatar earlier this week. But TMZ spoke with Mona Farroukh, a rep from ACCESS -- one of the most prominent Arab organizations in the United States -- who tells us, "Omar Sharif has no excuse to use violence on a woman instead of communication." "There is no reason to use violence toward anyone for any reason." Farroukh adds, "The least [Sharif] can do is apologize and seek forgiveness from [the woman] in public.  My message to him is 'stay a gentleman Omar.'" Permalink

'Chronicles of Riddick' Sequel Shut Down -- No Money, Mo' Problems	Top
Filed under: Vin Diesel, Movies Vin Diesel's comeback as an ass-kicking ex-con from the future is on hold ... because production on the new "Chronicles of Riddick" movie has been shut down over some serious cash flow issues.  TMZ spoke with Michel Trudel -- the owner of the Montreal studio where the new movie is being shot -- who tells us he changed the locks and kicked everyone off the set Wednesday because the production company, One Race Films, has failed to pay up on time. FYI -- One Race Films was founded by Vin Diesel ... who is also set to produce and star in the upcoming flick. But Trudel isn't the only one griping about a paycheck -- sources connected to production tell us several members of the crew have not been paid in over 2 weeks ... and are very concerned about getting their money. Trudel tells us he's confident the situation will be resolved soon ... and he's more than happy to let production resume ... as soon as he gets his money. Calls to Diesel's camp were not returned. Temptation Disputation Erupts Over 'My Girl'	Top
A musical controversy is sending shockwaves through Motown -- two singers belting out their versions of the Temptations classic "My Girl" ... in an a cappella duel to the death!!!! It all started when Harvey Levin hit the famous Hitsville Museum in Detroit Tuesday ... and was so moved by the experience of being the legendary Motown recording studio, he broke out in song ... accompanied by some sort of warped Temptations dance move. The next day, David Ruffin Jr. -- son of Temptations lead singer David Ruffin -- challenged Harvey to a sing-off ... while standing in a back alley, somewhere in L.A. So, we gotta ask ... Permalink

'My Generation' Actress -- Arrested for DUI After Smashing Cop Car	Top
Filed under: Celebrity Justice "My Generation" actress Anne Son was arrested this week -- after allegedly going on a drunken joyride through L.A. ... and careening into a parked cop car. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, it all went down early Wednesday morning -- a couple of officers had parked their cruiser on a street corner while investigating an unrelated incident ... and Son smashed into the black-and-white out of nowhere. We're told Son then kept driving -- and the officers on scene had to pursue her car on foot. According to sources, Son eventually stopped further down the block -- and when police finally caught up to her, they were met with an overwhelming odor of alcohol emanating from Son's vehicle. Officers administered a field sobriety test -- and Son allegedly blew a .19 and a .20 ... well over DOUBLE the legal limit in California. Son was arrested on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run, and was released hours later on $30,000 bail. Calls to Son's reps were not returned. Permalink

As we previously reported, Michael was transferred to a local hospital Thursday morning after his arrest -- when he fell 34-feet from his hotel balcony ... in what cops believe was an attempt to escape. Michael was brought back to jail today in a wheelchair ... and it was hilariously suspenseful -- check the footage.
