After a lifetime of watching the world's most affluent and powerful nation from afar, Pope Francis, 78, has landed on U.S. soil for the first time, arriving at Joint Base Andrews outside Washington from Cuba.
While in Washington, Francis will meet with President Barack Obama and address Congress, in addition to holding Masses and other public events. He'll then head to New York, where he will address the U.N. General Assembly on Friday before traveling to Philadelphia for the weekend.
