Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal opened CNN's Republican debate by defending his attacks on Donald Trump, while former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum discouraged his colleagues from making personal attacks.
"Let's stop treating Donald Trump like a Republican," Jindal said during the first of two presidential primary debates CNN is hosting tonight from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. The main event, featuring front-runners Trump and Ben Carson, will follow.
