U.S. Marines today raised the flag above the U.S. Embassy in Havana, Cuba, for the first time in 54 years.
The event marks a symbolic end to one of the last vestiges of the Cold War.
Despite the ceremony, and President Obama easing some travel and business restrictions on Cuba, a 53-year-old U.S. embargo on the Communist nation remains.
