South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley has signed a bill authorizing the removal of the Confederate battle flag from the statehouse grounds. The flag is to be lowered at 10 a.m. Friday.
Haley said she would give pens used in the signing to families of the nine victims of the shooting last month at the historic Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston.
