Cheshire West & Chester Council Labour leader Derek Bateman dies of heart attack

THE Labour opposition leader on Cheshire West and Chester Council Derek Bateman has died. Cllr Bateman, 62, is understood to have suffered a heart attack at his Cambridge Road home, Ellesmere Port, about 3.15pm on Saturday (July 30).
