The House will vote tonight on a Senate bill to avert the fiscal cliff, a senior House GOP leadership aide said.
The measure that sought to maintain tax cuts for most Americans but increase rates on the wealthy passed the Democratic-led Senate early on Tuesday. But Republican frustration over deficit reduction later in the day had muddled prospects for final action in the GOP-controlled House.
