JACKSON, Miss (Reuters) - A Mississippi man pleaded guilty on Thursday to federal hate crime charges in connection with attacks on African-Americans that ended with a black man dead after being run over by a truck, federal officials said. Joseph Dominick, 21, was the sixth person to plead guilty to hate crimes charges for being part of a group of white males who routinely assaulted blacks in the Jackson area starting in the spring of 2011, attacking victims with motor vehicles, beer bottles and sling shots. ...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. special agents identified 123 victims of child sexual exploitation during a five-week-long global crackdown on child pornography that resulted in the arrests of 245 people in the United States and overseas, U.S. officials said on Thursday. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents launched "Operation Sunflower" to rescue child victims and find people who trade and produce child pornography. Police to Seek Death Penalty Against Indian Rape Suspects

Police in India will reportedly submit 50 pages of criminal charges against five men on Thursday, including murder, rape, robbery, assault, and kidnapping for the brutal gang rape of a young woman that has generated worldwide outrage. The official accusations still remain confidential, but police say they will ask for the rarely used death penalty for the five suspects. A sixth suspect will also be charged as a juvenile.
