Apple's iPhone and Samsung Galaxy Note are displayed at a shop in Tokyo(Reuters) - A federal judge has set new trial dates in November to decide whether $450.5 million of damages awarded by a jury to Apple Inc in a patent dispute with Samsung Electronics should stand, according to a court filing. In March, Apple had a major setback in its ongoing mobile patents battle with Samsung when Judge Lucy Koh slashed a $1.05 billion jury award by more than 40 percent and set a new trial to determine damages. Koh ordered on Monday that the new trial on damages should take place between November 12 and 18. ...

Riverbed results miss estimates as customers cut spending

Supreme Court won't hear Charter Communications bankruptcy case

Law Debenture Trust Co of New York (LDT) and R2 Investments objected when the No. 4 U.S. cable television operator went into Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in March 2009, emerging in November of that year with its debts cut by $8 billion, or 40 percent. The bankruptcy was viewed as a major setback for Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, a major investor. ...
