President Obama says he is "heartbroken" over the shooting at Fort Hood, and "we will get to the bottom of what happened."
An initial report indicates the shooting incident started as a soldier-on-soldier attack, law enforcement sources tell CNN's Evan Perez.
A suspected shooter is dead, multiple U.S. officials tell CNN. An unknown number of people have been injured, according to the Army post.
