France scored on Paul Pogba's second-half header and a late own-goal fired by Nigeria to advance into the quarterfinals of the World Cup today.
Pogba scored with just 11 minutes remaining, following a mistake by goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama.
France will face Germany or Algeria, who play later today, in the quarterfinals.
