Americans are steadfastly opposed to sending U.S. ground troops to fight ISIS in Iraq and Syria, but an overwhelming number of people continue to support the U.S.-led airstrikes against the terrorist group, a CNN/ORC International poll shows.
The poll was conducted for CNN by ORC International, which interviewed 1,055 adult Americans, by telephone between Thursday and Saturday. The sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
