Aides confirm a report that Bernie Sanders plans to run for the Democratic 2016 presidential nomination.
"I am running for president," Sanders told The Associated Press in a story published Wednesday. Sanders, an independent who caucuses with the Democrats, is Hillary Clinton's first official challenger.
