The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of a Pennsylvania man who posted several threatening messages on Facebook and was convicted under a federal threat statute.
The court held that the standard used to convict him was too low. The ruling marks the first time the high court addressed the implications of free speech on social media.
In a separate case, justices ruled that Abercrombie & Fitch failed to accommodate a Muslim job applicant's religious needs when she was not hired on the basis that her hijab violated company dress policy.
