Jury finds hospital not negligent, but committed fraud

A Harris County jury determined last week that CHRISTUS St. Catherine Hospital was not negligent in causing the death in Jerry Carswell in 2004. However, the jury did find the hospital committed fraud in obtaining Carswell’s widow’s consent for the autopsy to be performed on his body.
