Five-times champion Federer ran through his full array of shot-making as he dismissed American Donald Young 6-3 6-2 6-4 to reach the second round. Having won his 17th grand slam title with his victory at Wimbledon last month, Federer is many people's pick to add a sixth U.S. Open crown to his ever-growing resume. Yankees first baseman Teixeira reacts to hitting a foul ball against the Chicago White Sox during his MLB American League baseball game in Chicago(Reuters) - New York Yankees slugger Mark Teixeira could be sidelined for up to two weeks after the first baseman suffered a left calf strain against the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday. Teixeira was injured during the fourth inning of New York's 8-7 home defeat to Toronto and left the game soon after. An MRI exam confirmed the strain and Teixeira has already been ruled out of the final two contests of the three-game series by manager Joe Girardi.
