(Blank Headline Received)(Reuters) - Top seed Roger Federer suffered a shock 6-3 6-4 defeat by Germany's Daniel Brands in his opening match at his home Swiss Open on Thursday - the latest setback for the former world number one. The 17-times grand-slam champion was beaten in 66 minutes by the 55th-ranked Brands in the second round in Gstaad, a week after beating the same player in the Hamburg tournament. "It helped that I already played him in Hamburg last week," Brands said on the ATP website (www.atpworldtour.com). By Nick Mulvenney SYDNEY, July 26 (Reuters) - Wallabies fullback Kurtley Beale has been ruled out for the year after being told by new coach Ewen McKenzie to have an operation on his shoulder and come back fit and healthy next year. Beale, who has had a torrid year with several off-field problems, played in all three tests in the British and Irish Lions series but has been carrying the injury since last year. "It's pretty simple, Kurtley's had a shoulder injury for more than a year now," McKenzie, who took over from Robbie Deans after the Lions series defeat, said on Friday. ...

NAIROBI (Reuters) - Kenyan football chiefs are under investigation by the country's anti-corruption agency over allegations that several hundred thousand dollars received from FIFA and other donor agencies have gone missing, officials said on Thursday.
