By Varun Aggarwal (Reuters) - Bloomberg LP has promoted six executive editors to senior executive editor positions in the company's first structural change in its news division since 2008. The promotions would open up a dozen managing editor or team leader roles internally, according to a memo that the company emailed to Reuters, adding that the changes were to help manage an expanding newsroom. Reto Gregori, current chief of staff to Bloomberg News Editor-in-Chief Matt Winkler, has been named Deputy Editor-in-Chief, according to the memo. ...

News Corp Deputy Chief Operating Officer James Murdoch attends the Allen & Co Media Conference in Sun Valley, IdahoFRANKFURT (Reuters) - German pay-TV broadcaster Sky Deutschland has named News Corp's James Murdoch as chairman of its supervisory board, promoting him after just five months on the board. James Murdoch is deputy chief operating officer of 21st Century Fox and son of media magnate Rupert Murdoch, who controls News Corp. He was brought onto the Sky Deutschland board in April 2013, a reflection of News Corp's growing stake and influence in the company. Russia's Khodorkovsky awarded Lech Walesa prize

To match interview RUSSIA-POLITICS/KHODORKOVSKYWARSAW (Reuters) - The jailed Russian former oil tycoon and Kremlin critic Mikhail Khodorkovsky has been awarded the annual Lech Walesa prize, named after the Polish Nobel laureate who helped overthrow Communist rule. The Walesa Institute decided to give Khodorkovsy the prize, because he has "inscribed on the banner of his public life values such as economy freedom, civic values and social justice", Walesa said in the statement. Khodorkovsky, the former head of oil company Yukos, has been convicted of money-laundering, tax evasion and fraud. ...
