The U.S. economy added 209,000 jobs in July, continuing a steady recovery that began in February.
July's gain marks the sixth month that more than 200,000 jobs have been added -- a key threshold in what has been a tepid recovery.
Meanwhile, the unemployment rate ticked up to 6.2% in July, from 6.1% in June.
