The shipwreck found by sonar over the weekend has been positively identified as El Faro, both the National Transportation Safety Board and the U.S. Navy say.
The cargo ship was headed to Puerto Rico from Jacksonville, Florida, and went missing near the Bahamas on October 1 with 33 people on board. They are all presumed dead.
