Des Plaines woman dies after shoveling snow

A 77-year-old Des Plaines woman who collapsed while shoveling snow Thursday died Friday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.The death of Florence Erickson of the 1900 block of Pine Street was attributed to a stroke, heart disease caused by high blood pressure and exposure to the cold.
