PITTSBURGH Nearly 70 years after he earned it in World War II, Aaron Narvol has his Purple Heart. Wounded in the Battle of Okinawa, Narvol had long deserved the honor but only received it Thursday, on his 93rd birthday. "I never thought I'd get it," the Army veteran told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review of the medal he now refuses to take off. "That there is here to stay." |

Robert Hegyes , who played the Jewish Puerto Rican student Juan Luis Pedro Phillipo de Huevos Epstein in the 1970s tv show 'Welcome Back, Kotter' died from a heart attack at the age of 60. Epstein`s shtick was to bring a self-written note signed by 'Epstein`s Mother' to explain why he wasn`t in school. |
