A Russian Mi-8 helicopter has been shot down in Syria following the delivery of humanitarian supplies to Aleppo, the Russian Defense Ministry said Monday in a statement cited by Russian state television.

Three crew members and two officers were returning to base, the statement said, adding that the condition of those on board is unclear.
