Kenneth A. Fisher, Jr. and Justin L. Phillips have been charged with first-degree assault and first-degree attempted robbery in the June 18 beating that knocked Dawit Alemu unconscious. Investigators said Alemu suffered a tear in the brain and is on a ventilator.
