Reuters - KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Shareholders in Canada's Progress Energy Resources Corp have approved a takeover bid from Malaysia's state oil company Petronas at C$22.00 a share, or near C$6 billion ($6.09 billion) including debt, Progress said. The acquisition would be the first time an Asian state investor has bought its Canadian partner in a gas project, and is likely to be scrutinized by Canadian regulators. The Progress board has already approved the takeover, which is the smaller of two bids by state-owned Asian firms for Canadian energy companies. China's CNOOC wants to pay $15. ... Full Story

Reuters - WARSAW (Reuters) - A huge unexploded Nazi bomb was found beneath the streets of central Warsaw on Tuesday, forcing the evacuation of 3,000 people from surrounding buildings and bringing traffic to a standstill. The 1.5-tonne World War Two mortar bomb was discovered by underground construction workers in Poland's capital and later safely removed by bomb disposal experts. The evacuated buildings had included the country's central bank. Russian serviceman kills six at border post: Interfax

Reuters - MOSCOW (Reuters) - A Russian border guard killed six fellow servicemen before being shot himself in a shooting spree at a frontier post in the southern region of Dagestan on Tuesday, Interfax news agency reported. It was not immediately clear whether the shootings were related to a suicide bombing that killed a Muslim cleric and at least five followers in a separate part of Dagestan. Air strike said to kill two suspected militants in Yemen

Reuters - ADEN (Reuters) - Two men thought to be Islamist militants were killed in an apparent U.S. drone attack on a car in central Yemen on Tuesday, the defense ministry said. A security source and witnesses told Reuters the car was hit on a remote road from Hadramout to Maareb province - a mostly desert southeastern region where militants have taken refuge after being driven from their southern strongholds last month. It was not clear if there were other casualties in the attack. Washington, which fears the spread of militants in Yemen, has stepped up attacks by unmanned drones this year. ... Full Story
