CNN Breaking News

Donald Trump defended his temperament in the face of attacks at the start of CNN's Republican debate, then singled out Sen. Rand Paul for his appearance and his low standing in the polls.

"I never attacked him on his looks, and believe me there's plenty of subject matter right there," the Republican presidential front-runner said.

Trump also had a heated exchange with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush over political donations, ending with the real estate mogul saying that Bush had "more energy tonight; I like that."
