"An aggressive plan" to deal with increased security line wait times at U.S. airports has been developed with the TSA, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said Friday at a news conference.

The government will seek to hire more TSA officers, give the agency more flexibility in assigning employees and ask airlines to help with "non-security" work, among other initiatives to reduce wait times, Johnson said.

Facing hours-long TSA checkpoint lines at U.S. airports this week, travelers are snapping pictures and uploading videos to document the mess.
