The U.S. economy added 160,000 jobs in April, as employers eased up on hiring.
The unemployment rate remained unchanged at 5%.
The latest government reading departs from a string of strong reports on jobs. At the same time, workers’ hourly wages continued to grow because of a tightening job market.
