Abiomed gets FDA approval for new heart pump

Abiomed Inc. said Wednesday the Food and Drug Administration approved its newest version of the Impella heart pump. The stock jumped 60 cents, or 10.8 percent, to $6.15 in after-hours trading, following the announcement.
