American Michael Phelps won the Olympic silver medal in the men's 200-meter butterfly. The medal is his 18th overall, tying him for the most all time.
Chad le Clos of South Africa won the gold. Phelps is expected to swim for another medal within minutes as a member of the 4x200-meter freestyle relay team.
American swimmer Allison Schmitt also won gold in the women's 200-meter freestyle.
