A jury has found James Holmes guilty on the first count of first-degree murder in a July 2012 Colorado movie theater shooting that killed 12 people and wounded 70.
It's among the first verdicts of 165 counts to be announced in the case against Holmes. The rest of the verdicts are still being read.
The charges include two counts of murder for each person killed, many more of attempted murder, and other charges related to explosives police say he planted at his home. He could face the death penalty.
