CNN Breaking News

Hillary Clinton told a House committee that Americans want statesmanship, not partisanship from the inquiry into the 2012 attack on the consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

"I took responsibility" and "launched reforms" after four Americans died in the attack, she said as the hearing entered its second hour on Thursday.

Chairman Trey Gowdy, a South Carolina Republican, opened the hearing by denying that the GOP-dominated body has a political motive, saying many questions remain unanswered about the terror attack.
