A shooting that left one person dead at Tennessee State University started after an apparent dispute over a dice game, police said.
Two others were injured in the shooting at the outdoor courtyard at the campus in Nashville.
The wounded have been transported to hospital, said Tanya Stone of Nashville Metro Police.
She did not provide information on their condition or whether they are students. It's unclear whether the shooter is in custody.
