CNN PROJECTS: Clinton wins home state

Results are coming in as polls close across the country. Here's a roundup of the latest contests:

  • Hillary Clinton will win both candidates’ home state of New York, CNN projects based on exit poll data.
  • Trump will win Kansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and three out of five Electoral College votes in Nebraska, CNN projects.
  • Races are extremely tight in Florida, Virginia and North Carolina at the moment.
  • Road to 270: Clinton has 97 Electoral College votes, Trump 84.
  • Republican Todd Young will win the US Senate seat in Indiana, CNN projects, denying Democratic former Sen. Evan Bayh a key pickup opportunity for his party's hunt to take back the chamber.
  • Meanwhile, 58% of the electorate said they would feel concerned or scared if Trump wins the presidency, early exit polls say, while 53% would feel that way if Clinton comes out on top.
