Breaking News

The law firm whose leaked documents have become known as the Panama Papers says it is a victim of data theft and denies any wrongdoing.

"The facts are these: while we may have been the victim of a data breach, nothing we've seen in this illegally obtained cache of documents suggests we've done anything illegal," a statement from Mossack Fonseca said.

The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists on Sunday published the massive leak of documents. Elected leaders and top officials from around the world are responding with denials and outrage to allegations that they used secret offshore companies and accounts to hide billions of dollars.
