Cardell Hayes has been indicted on four charges including second-degree murder in the death of former New Orleans Saints defensive end Will Smith, prosecutors say.
Smith was gunned down following an altercation after a traffic incident on April 9. Hayes, 28, is accused of killing him after they "exchanged words" in the street. Smith’s wife, Racquel, was shot in the leg.
