Donald Trump formally introduced Mike Pence as his running mate Saturday, capping a chaotic rollout that sources say included a dramatic night of soul-searching on whether he had settled on the right man.
"Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is my first choice. I also admire the fact that he fights for the people and he also is going to fight for you. He is a solid, solid person," Trump said in Manhattan.
Upon taking the stage, Pence said he accepted the invitation to be Trump’s running mate. "Donald Trump is a good man and he will make a great president of the United States of America."
