FBI Director James Comey on Thursday defended his decision not to recommend prosecution of Hillary Clinton over classified information found on her private email server.
During tense questioning on Capitol Hill, Comey told lawmakers he doesn’t believe Clinton lied about the server to the FBI or that she broke the law, although he later recited facts that contradicted her public statements.
Republican lawmakers called on the FBI to launch a new investigation into whether Clinton lied under oath about the controversial email server.
