Hotcakes and Hoops benefits net almost $1,100

Despite a couple minor burns and a lot of very sore muscles among volunteers, a pair of May 2 events raised almost $1,100. The money goes to the Englewood Education Foundation and a fund to help police officer Shane and Alena Ellison’s 4-year-old daughter Tayler, who is battling a severe brain tumor. |
