May 5 (Bloomberg) -- Roche Holding AG won U.S. approval to sell its cancer medicine Avastin for the deadliest type of brain tumors. The Food and Drug Administration cleared expanded use of Avastin in patients with glioblastoma multiforme , an incurable brain cancer diagnosed in about 10,000 Americans a year, said Roche’s Genentech unit in a statement.
